Garden moodboard - August

24 Aug 2013

My garden moodboards for August - linking in with Karin and Asa and their beautiful collections of flowers and foliage from the garden each month. As I had hoped, our garden is looking much more colourful this month and the seeds I had planted with the kids way back are now all blooming beautifully. I ended up making three moodboards as the white flowers wouldn't show up on my first and I thought it would nice to include a little more greenery this time too!

I also had a go at making these pictures by taking some flowers apart, I'm quite liking the patterns they make when they're dissected and then reconstructed like that!

Garden moodboard and monthly mosaic - July

31 Jul 2013

Hello! I'm just squeezing in my garden moodboard for July, linking in with Karin and Asa and their wonderful collections of flowers and foliage from the garden each month. There's not so many flowers again this time, though there is lots just ready to bloom, so I'm thinking maybe next month might be a bit more colourful!

Also my mosaic for July with some little pictures from my Instagram. Lots of the beach as always, some birthday pics, tiny red arrows, big strawberry little strawberry, pretty summer skies and some more bits from the garden.

Happy August. xx

Garden moodboard - June

24 Jun 2013

Some bits from my garden lately - from my Instagram.

I'm counting this as my garden moodboard for June - joining in with Karin and Asa and their wonderful collections of flowers and foliage from the garden each month.

Garden moodboard - May

31 May 2013

My garden moodboard for May - linking in with Karin and Asa. There's so much more colour out there now which is lovely. We live close to a little greengrocers and they have a wonderful display of colourful plants for sale outside, especially at this time of year. I cant help but pick one or two up on the way past. The bright red geranium was one chosen by Archie - a tomato plant apparently!

We have been spending quite a bit of time in the garden lately (when its not been raining!) There has been lots of clearing and planting and making little areas like a den for the kids. I would like to make more for them to do out there, though quite cheaply and without filling the garden with play equipment! I asked Elizabeth what she would like to have in the garden and her response included a little garage and car next to the playhouse, a little washing line for her baby clothes, a crazy golf course, a hill to roll down, a tent each... oh and a castle!

I quite like her mini washing line idea, I thought I would make them their own little garden outside the play house to look after. Maybe a little path and some small planted borders. I'll try and show some pictures  when I've made a bit more progress!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. xx

Garden moodboard and monthly mosaic - April

30 Apr 2013

Hello. Just squeezing in my garden moodboard for April before the month is over - Joining in with Karin A Photography and her collections of things from the garden each month. Its so nice to see a bit more colour appearing out there now. The spring weather is finally here and I love it!

These little photos are all from April from my Instagram. I will be happy to say hello to a new month, April wasn't a great one here really. It saw a family loss (my grandad) a breakup (mine!) and lots of illness. We are still getting over all the illness, still have funeral arrangements to be made and I'm still coming to terms with now being a single mum - but surely things can only get better in May!

Garden moodboard - March

29 Mar 2013

We have finally had some sunshine here today so I popped out in the garden to see what I could find for my March moodboard - linking in with Karin and her collections of things found in the garden each month.

I cant believe we are nearly April already. I really hope next month will be a little kinder to us - the Spring weather surely has to come eventually!

I'm going to be taking a little blogging break over the Easter hols. We don't have much planned here but I'm looking forward to some chilled pj mornings, a little crafting and fingers crossed some time spent outdoors too.

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter. xx

Garden moodboard - Febuary

21 Feb 2013

Joining in with Karin and Asa and their monthly garden moodboards - finding bits from the garden or nature which symbolise the month we're in. Its been so nice to see some colour and life appearing in the garden this month, it means spring is so very close now and I'm so ready for it!

Garden moodboard - January

24 Jan 2013

This year I'm going to join in with Karin A Photography and her wonderful monthly mood boards - creating and photographing a collection of bits from the garden each month. I thought it would be a nice thing to look back over at the end of the year and see the changes. I have bought a few bright primroses for outside and also some bunches of daffodils and tulips this week, they are giving us some much needed colour and cheeriness here this month.
