Instagram & 52 Weeks of Happy 3/52

20 Nov 2012

I got a new phone a couple of weeks ago and I'm now finally on Instagram. I don't have loads of photos on there yet and I'm still working it all out, but I am loving it so far. Its great to actually have a decent camera on my phone to capture those little everyday moments that I would otherwise miss because I don't have my big camera to hand. I'm loving the quickness off instagram too, being able to just share my pictures so easily. I have been playing around with a few other apps too, mainly Fuzelpro and Afterglow for the frames and collages and Picfx for the bokeh effects. If anyone has any others they recommend I would love to hear.

So these are my happy moments from this week - from my Instagram.

♥ Making little faces all around the house with these light switch stickers.

♥ Archie picking me flowers from the garden.

♥ Elizabeth's star award sticker from school. We went to her parents evening this week and it was lovely to hear that she is doing so well.

♥ Drawing with chalks in the garden.

Hope your all having a happy week. x

  1. Hi Caroline. Your Instagram feed is lovely. I will see you over there. I agree it's nice to have a good camera on the phone. Carrying around a heavy camera can become tiresome sometimes. I have recently ordered prints of my Instagram photos. I can't wait to see what they're like. xo

    1. Thanks Veronica, yes please do. That's sounds like a good idea, I might have to get some of mine printed off too. I have seen some cute square photo books of instagram pics too which look lovely. xx

  2. Hi lovely, these are great, looks like you've had a good week! I so need a new phone, I had one which was supposed to be 'smart' but couldn't get Instagram to work on it, then I dropped it and broke the screen (oops!) so I'm back to using my old (stupid?) one. Love the hexagram fabric collage, and have you been making fabric covered buttons too? xx

    1. Hi Rachel, thank you. I needed a new one badly too and had been holding out with my broken old phone until my contract ran out. They're fabric covered badges, they turned out quite sweet but I have used all the bits up and can't seem to find anymore. I'd like to make some covered buttons too but wasn't sure what kit to buy. How did you get on with yours? xx

  5. Lovely feed Caroline - I'll pop off and follow you over there. I've been a bit out of the loop with IG as my phone was affected by one of their technical bugs so it stopped me being on there for 3 months. Boo to that! But looks like it's finally fixed so I'll be on there a bit more regularly. And well done Elizabeth! x

  11. Oh I NEED instagram!! For exactly the reasons you said - my phone camera is totally rubbish and I want to be able to take quick photos when I don't have my DSLR with me.

Lovely happy moments - well done Elizabeth for her star sticker! And those light switch stickers are just brilliant. x

    1. Yes it's great for that. I really missed it on my last phone - it didn't even have a camera as I bought a cheap one to keep me going until my contract ran out. It's nice to be able to message silly pics of the kids to family too. x
