Garden moodboard - May

31 May 2013

My garden moodboard for May - linking in with Karin and Asa. There's so much more colour out there now which is lovely. We live close to a little greengrocers and they have a wonderful display of colourful plants for sale outside, especially at this time of year. I cant help but pick one or two up on the way past. The bright red geranium was one chosen by Archie - a tomato plant apparently!

We have been spending quite a bit of time in the garden lately (when its not been raining!) There has been lots of clearing and planting and making little areas like a den for the kids. I would like to make more for them to do out there, though quite cheaply and without filling the garden with play equipment! I asked Elizabeth what she would like to have in the garden and her response included a little garage and car next to the playhouse, a little washing line for her baby clothes, a crazy golf course, a hill to roll down, a tent each... oh and a castle!

I quite like her mini washing line idea, I thought I would make them their own little garden outside the play house to look after. Maybe a little path and some small planted borders. I'll try and show some pictures  when I've made a bit more progress!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. xx

  8. I love Elizabeth's ambition and creativity. The washing line is a great idea, my two love pegging things. If you have an old sheet and four or five bamboo canes you could easily make a little tee pee; arrange the poles into a cone and tie at the top with a bit of rope or string, then drape the sheet over the poles and peg it to secure it. Hours of fun! xx
