Its beginning to look like Christmas here! We now finally have our tree up and have pretty much finished the decorating in our lounge. I looked out all the old decorations we had when I was little and some that were my nans too, as well as our newer ones. Elizabeth loved looking through them all and was so excited about decorating the tree. I had to find somewhere to put it first though, this year is the first we have had a real tree and its gorgeous but they do take up a bit more space.

Its lovely to see Elizabeth so excited this year, she really understands everything and is taking an interest in all the little traditions in the build up to Christmas. She has very patiently opened a door on her calendar every day, full of excitement every morning to open another. Archie's however lasted about five minutes with all but about three of the doors pulled off.

I think I'm just about getting there with Christmas preparations, though its always those last few bits and bobs to do that end up taking so long. I'm just looking forward to the holidays now, having the hectic bit over with and spending some time with the family to just chill out and watch cheesy Christmas movies.

I hope all your preperations are going well and you are enjoying the run up to Christmas. x

  1. Your decorations are wonderful, we love the old ones the best too, but I've never seen any quite like some of yours! Is that Santa's little helpers in the top picture? And who are those furry creatures with their little houses? Really lovely.

    1. Thanks, yes the old ones are great. The little houses are actually pencil sharpeners. We had some pretty random stuff on our tree, i think if it had a hanging loop it went on the tree! I even found some tiny clip on cabbiage patch dolls! xx

Enjoy the Christmas movies, any recommendations? (I watched Elf the other day and loved it)
