Pumpkin farm...

27 Oct 2012

We made a visit to a local pumpkin farm this afternoon. There were some seriously huge pumpkins and quite an impressive display of gourds in different shapes and colours. After much deciding we chose just one big one to take home - plus these cute little ceramic pumpkins made at the nearby pottery. Now we just need to carve the thing!

  1. That's one bloomin' big pumpkin! They are in short supply this year though so you got lucky. Love your picture of all the mixed pumpkins and squashes. x

    1. They had some really huge ones there! I don't think they did quite so well with growing this year as in previous years. Yes they looked good all mixed together. xx

  2. Wow what fabulous pictures! I saw a lovely pic on Pinterest of a pumpkin that had been drilled rather than carved, with lovely patterns made by the holes...looked great with the light shining through. Max wasn't keen though, he preferred the traditional spooky face! Hope you're having a lovely weekend. x

  7. That looks like fun. I love this idea of going to a pumpkin farm to choose one -so much more fun than buying one in the supermarket! I'll have to investigate if there is one in Leeds for next year. x
