Beach treasure...

3 Sept 2012

A walk along the beach looking for treasure... always something interesting to be found! Not the nicest of weather, but it meant we had the beach to ourselves. Plus I guess the holiday season is coming to an end now. The last weekend before back to school for many people.

Elizabeth has another week before she starts and will be going half days to begin with. I cant help but feel a little nervous for her. I'm sure she will be absolutely fine as she's loved nursery, never wanting to miss a day to catch up with all her friends and she's so excited about going to 'big girl school'. I think its because I hated school so much myself, remembering those feelings of dread as the summer holidays come to an end! But I know its so different now and she's such a confident girl so I'm hoping she will enjoy going to school as much as she has to her little nursery.

  2. My son is dreading going back to school. And I am dreading the school run! I'm sure she'll be fine. It's so nerve wracking sending them when they are little. Just make sure you give yourself plenty to do on the first day to try and occupy your mind. I went straight home after dropping my son off on his first day and I just wept! Beautiful seaside pictures. x

    1. Thanks Jen. Aw bless him, it's such a long time to get out of routine isn't it. I'm not looking forward to school run either, I've been loving our lazy pj mornings this summer. I'm sure I'll be the same on her first day. xx

Just picked my little boy up from his first day at big school ... he just loved it ... but it is difficult to prise any more information than that from him ... he too is finishing early for a whole month so I will be off out again shortly to collect his big brother in year 3 ... I'll be in and out like a yo-yo :) ... your little girl will love it too I'm sure ... and if she is excited already that's a really good sign ... Bee xx

  9. Oh my - I really must learn how to more moody pictures - yours are so fabulous.

I'm the same with my smallest one and 'yep' to half days for a wee while as well. Though the older two 'phew' any day now would be fine - I think they really are getting bored of 'being at home'

    take it easy,

    1. I think that's the same for me, she doesn't seem at all worried about it. The beach huts are in Felpham, they do look pretty painted all the same. xx

  12. Wow Caroline you didn't half find some treasures. I love to see how different the treasures in your part of the world are to the ones I find, I've never even seen those shells in blue before and is that the handle of an oar? The first beach hut pic is amazing, love that they're all the same happy colours.
Lots of luck to Elizabeth for starting big school, I'm sure she'll enjoy it and settle into her new routine quickly.
