Hello! Sorry the quietness around here. I've been a little busy this last week or so as my mum and I have opened a fabric shop - eep! It's a real bricks and mortar shop near our homes, selling craft and dressmaking fabrics, as well as buttons, ribbons and accessories. I'm working on an Etsy shop too at the moment and have been busy trying to photograph and list everything. It's a slow process, but we'll get there!

I'll try and show some pictures of inside the shop soon. You can also find our Etsy shop here (lots more to come) our Instagram here, our Facebook page here and our Pinterest here! We would reeeally appreciate any shares, likes or love! x

Sisterhood...

6 Jun 2015

Last weekend, I spent an amazing couple of days at Sisterhood Camp. An adventure away from home at Loveland Farm in North Devon, spent with 25 funny, creative and inspiring like minded women.

We chatted and laughed late into the night, we feasted and sat around the campfire, learnt new skills at the Shibori dying and leather workshops, picked wildflowers in the sunshine, picnicked on a cliff top and walked along the beautiful coastline to a waterfall for wild swimming.

We formed friendships and created wonderful memories!

Big thank you to Lou for organising such a brilliant adventure that I will always remember.

DIY Leather Pouch Kit Giveaway

4 Jun 2015

I'm really enjoying making things with leather lately, especially since making these. I have loads of leather projects on my Pinterest craft board that I want to have a go at making. I picked up some beautiful soft grey and blue leather scraps from the car boot sale last week, so I'm looking forward to trying out a few ideas with it.

This leather pouch I've made is a kit from Hammered Leatherworks. They make beautiful leather kits which allow even a complete beginner the chance to try leatherwork. They come with all the materials you need to make the finished product and you can follow the instructions on their you tube channel, which makes so much easier.

One of the sides sewn on...

The second side sewn on... looking like a pouch now!

And the finished pouch with the strap and buckle added.

I think it probably took me a couple of hours to make, the first side being the trickiest. I'm so pleased with how it turned out, it feels really sturdy for something I've made myself and I know it will be treasured for a long time.

I have another Hammered Leatherworks Multi Pouch in natural leather to give away. It would be perfect for keeping your sunglasses in, or as a pen or pencil case or even for your crochet hooks or crafty bits. It would make a lovely present for someone too.

To enter just fill in the Rafflecopter form below. Im happy to post worldwide and the giveaway ends on the 18th June. Good luck! x

Collected Treasures

1 Jun 2015

Hello and Happy June!

These are our collected treasures from the last few weeks (except for some of the plastic) There aren't quite as many finds as usual this month. Elizabeth has developed a complete aversion of going to the beach at the moment, so there wasn't as much time spent there over half term as I might have liked. She'll reluctantly go with a bit of bribery of an cream or a nearby park, but really she just wanted a few home days. Some time to just be, to just play and chill in the garden or listen to her music.

I love these pretty speckled eggshell pieces Elizabeth is holding. I'd love to know what they are if anyone knows?! The paint splattered leaves were collected from a nearby shed which had just been painted. They look like little holes munched through against the white.

I dip dyed the white feathers using some fabric dye I was using for another project, I'll have to think of something I can do with them!

You can see my previous collections here, and more of  my collected treasures on my Instagram under #collected_treasures.

Wishing you all a happy week. xx
