Craftyness...

We have been doing lots of craftyness this week. Its hard to find things the kids can both do together without Archie completely destroying Elizabeth's creations - which is what usually happens! Elizabeth loves doing creative things now - Archie not so much! I thought painting with cars might keep him interested.

We have been to the beach to collect shells with holes in to make necklaces and pebbles to colour. More paperweights for Emil's office!

And today making maps and searching for treasure in the garden. There are lots of pretty flowers appearing out there - and just one lonely cherry!

Scrapping catch up...

I haven't shared any scrapbooking for ages, mainly as I have just not been doing much. These are some commissions from the last couple of issues of Scrapbook Magazine. These first two were for the sketch challenge - creating two different layouts from one sketch. I used some little photos of Elizabeth from ages ago in this first one. I cant believe how short her hair was!

These ones were for an 'Inspired by nature' feature.

And this last one was for a 'We'll meet again' theme - scrapping our loved ones and memories of them. I found this one quite hard but chose this fave photo of my nan and grandad and the title 'happy together' as they so were and I like to think still are somewhere!

Pyrex cups...

When we moved house I finally got to unpack all my Pyrex cups. I have been collecting them for years now and they were all in different boxes - some found quite recently and some from ages ago! I was quite surprised how many I had accumulated when they were all put together.

I don't see so many now at car boot sales or charity shops.  I love the little short round ones the best, and I love the orange bowls but have never managed to find any more. I have just about managed to squeeze them all into one of our kitchen cupboards for now - until I think of a better spot for them!

Lately...

♥ We have been enjoying some sunny days.

♥ We have been tidying up the garden.

♥ Spending lots of time there.

♥ The kids planted sunflowers.

♥ We made some swings.

♥ Elizabeth has been doing lots of drawings - Love this goat!

♥ We have been finishing off the kids rooms - putting up shelves.

♥ And today... a helicopter flight!

I gave Emil a flight experience voucher ages ago now. He initially wanted to do a microlight flight, but after being cancelled a couple of times he finally booked a helicopter flight over Portsmouth - and I got to go with him. I loved it! I thought it would be a bit scary but it was brilliant. Everything looks so different from up there!

A couple of summery treasury's today. I'm loving that pastel cross stitch necklace, and I think those sunny drinking glasses would cheer me up even on the cloudiest of days!

Its been so nice to have some decent weather over the weekend. Weather like we should be having in June! We have spent lots of time together at home, mostly in the garden - yay!
