Weekend!

26 Mar 2012

There was lots of water play in the garden!

I bought Elizabeth a new 'toot toot' as she calls it and she wore it ALL weekend! With her wellies, with her Converse and with her Birkenstocks ... with tights obviously!

Hope you had a great weekend

My Craft space

18 Mar 2012

This is my fave corner of our home, my little craft corner! This is where I keep all my scrapbooking stash, albums and my little inspiration board.

The craft cupboard is from Ikea, its great for hiding away all the mess away. As you can see I love buttons! I love thrifting for old tins of buttons and sorting through them all, and I cant go to the Eternal Maker without coming away with a few more.

The albums are from We R Memory Keepers. I still haven't got around to labelling them all with dates yet! I like to get all my photos actually printed off so I have lots of photo albums too.

The pin board is where I like to stick up bits and pieces I love - some crochet doilies, postcards, cut outs from magazines and some scraps of fabric. Its nice to have somewhere I can put a few bits up to see and not have it all hidden away.

Anyhoo, we are off to pick up my pottery now that the kids painted for me for mothers day last weekend. I love that bit, unwrapping them to see how they turned out.

Have a lovely day x

Pottery painting

11 Mar 2012

The kids painted some pottery today at Bosham walk Art and Craft Centre.

Its kind of become a bit of a tradition now that for Mothers day I get to choose something to be painted. (a week early I know, but we get to pick it up next weekend!) Elizabeth has painted something for me here for the last few years and this time Archie did one too.

I cant wait to see how they turn out.

A walk in LA!

8 Mar 2012

We made the most of the sunshine today and took a walk along Littlehampton Beach.

I love this long bench (the longest in Britain at 324m!) that twists and winds along the seafront. It really adds some colour to the place and the kids love trying to walk along it.

Scrapping phone photos!

5 Mar 2012

I went through all the photos I've taken on my phone the other day. The camera on my phone is pretty rubbish so I don't use it much and never really look back at my pictures. It was nice to go through them and see things I had completely forgotten about.

I printed a few off to scrapbook. These layouts are from sketches by just C&S - Nos 67 and 68.

These are some random photos I took with my phone - An ice lolly with 3 sticks, THREE sticks! that deserves a photo right?!  A little message to Elizabeth in alphabet pasta shapes, A cheerio with a heart shaped hole sent to Mason and the button from the remote I found, which I also sent to Mason as I knew he would be impressed that I had found that teeny little button!

These pictures were taken last summer and it was the first time Archie had paddled in the sea. He absolutely loved it but just wanted to run into the water. I didn't have my big camera with me so I was grateful that I had at least captured the moment with my phone camera.

Bournemouth...

3 Mar 2012

We went to see some family and friends in Bournemouth today and had a really lovely day out. We had a look around Boscombe Vintage Market. There were so many lovely things - both handmade and vintage, but I really fell in love with (and purchased!) this gorgeous cushion by swimmer. Beautiful cushions made from felt with hand embroidery and other handmade items using vintage and recycled materials.

We walked down to Boscombe beach and Archie and Elizabeth played in the sand, so exciting for them when they are used to our pebble beach!

They really had a lovely time, Elizabeth would have liked to have stayed there all day digging and running in the sand.
